As springtime approaches and flowers begin to bud, students at Staples are often switching their wardrobes around. From the dark gloomy days of winter, to the bright fluorescent days of spring, one must match their apparel to the weather that coincides. Many students find themselves switching from dark colored clothing to a much lighter shade in the jeans that they wear.
According to a poll taken by AOL, the top two colors to wear this spring season are “monaco blue” and “grayed jade.” These lighter shades will bring out a much more free flowing and laidback appeal.
Erin Munley ’16 has already purchased several pairs of lighter colored jeans; fully aware that spring is quickly approaching.
“I don’t want to be seen wearing dark colored jeans during spring. Do you know what kind of crime that is?” Munley said.
She is not alone.
Even celebrities such as Beyoncé have gone from wearing darker colored clothing to wearing lighter colors for this spring season.
During the Grammys, which were hosted in February, Beyoncé was spotted sporting an “autumn green” dress. On the contrary, at last years MTV Video Music Awards, she was seen flaunting a “bright green” dress.
As spring approaches, Julia Lindwall ’16 wants her colors to shine.
“I want to put winter behind me. By wearing light colored jeans and storing away my darker colored ones, I believe it demonstrates that spring has finally sprung,” Lindwall said.
